About Break Point Armory

Break Point Armory operates on a singular principle: trigger performance is a measurable variable, not subjective preference. Founded in 2021, the company originated from the observation that most aftermarket triggers fail to account for precise mechanical interaction between sear geometry, spring rates, and striker/pin engagement.

The operation is led by Marcus Thorne, whose 14-year tenure as a competitive shooting instructor specializing in precision pistol disciplines informs every product spec. During his prior 8-year role as a bench gunsmith at Ridgeline Firearms, Thorne serviced over 2,000 customer firearms, cataloging failure patterns in OEM and aftermarket trigger systems across Glock, S&W M&P, Sig P-Series, and 1911 platforms.

Our product selection adheres to a clinical filtration process. Every drop-in kit we carry has been tested to a minimum of 5,000 rounds across three different serial-numbered frames from the same generation. We measure pre-travel, over-travel, break weight (in 0.1-ounce increments), and reset distance to 0.010-inch tolerance. Kits that exhibit hysteresis, inconsistency beyond ±0.2 ounces across the test cycle, or altered sear engagement below factory-specified safety margins are rejected.

We do not stock universal or "one-size-fits-most" components. Each listing is platform-specific and generation-specific (e.g., Glock Gen3 vs. Gen5, S&W M2.0 vs. 1.0, Sig P320 pre- vs. post-voluntary upgrade). This precision eliminates end-user fitting, reduces installation variables, and ensures advertised performance metrics are repeatable in the field.

Our direct testing occurs in USPSA Production and Carry Optics divisions, where round counts are high and failure consequences are immediate. This practical validation, combined with Thorne's Glock Factory and Sig Sauer P-Series armor certifications, ensures every product meets duty-grade reliability standards alongside competitive performance gains.
